This seminar focused on the work done so far in the NKS-B Nordicnano project. There were talks on SIMS principles and sample preparation issues followed by lectures from the project partners discussing how organic endogenous compounds as well as radioactive nanomaterials in the environment can be traced using both NanoSIMS and ToF-SIMS. Examples and images from model organism such as Daphnia as well as seaweed were discussed. The aim of the seminar was to give the attendees an introduction to the use of SIMS as well as a demonstration of what can be accomplished using SIMS when studying radioactive nanomaterials in the environment.
