Project summary |
The GammaAI 2025 activity brings together Nordic professionals in gamma-ray spectrometry for a collaborative two-day event focused on knowledge sharing and skill development. For the first time, the event will introduce key artificial intelligence concepts and explore possible practical applications in gamma-ray spectrometry. This may spark further developments and provide recommendations at the end of the event. Another component is the intercomparison exercise, where participants test their analysis methods by analysing spectra distributed to them. This hands-on activity is followed by in-depth discussions to compare approaches and refine techniques. To minimize background noise for accurate measurements, participants are encouraged to share information about their shielding setups and background gamma-ray spectra. A comparative analysis will highlight best practices and identify potential improvements. Experts will showcase new developments in the field, and participants are invited to present their own research, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and challenges. Commercial companies will engage with the community, presenting their latest equipment and advancements. The event emphasizes inclusivity, particularly welcoming students and young scientists through existing Nordic networks and potential travel assistance. GammaAI 2025 aims to strengthen Nordic collaborations and inspire future advancements in gamma-ray spectrometry by providing a platform for practical experience, knowledge exchange, and networking opportunities.
