CALL FOR PROPOSALS 2027

NKS invites proposals for activities to be supported (up to 50% of total cost) in 2027 under the NKS-R and NKS-B programmes from an expected budget of at least 3 million DKK for each programme. No specific priorities have been identified with this call, but proposals must address at least one of the research areas as described in the respective NKS-R and NKS-B frameworks. Information regarding the NKS-R and NKS-B frameworks as well as instructions for applicants and application forms can be found via the links below.

Note that we have set up a database option for young scientists to briefly present their interests and competences for potential inclusion in NKS activity proposals, so proposal leaders can judge if they can make a match.  NKS has a strong wish to increase the participation of young scientists in the activities, and inclusion of a reasonable number of young scientists counts positively in the proposal evaluation process.

Please note that the deadline for submitting proposals is the 15th of October 2026 (for both NKS-R and NKS-B).

NSFS Young Generation Network (NSFS YGN)

The Nordic Society for Radiation Protection (NSFS) has established the NSFS Young Generation Network (NSFS YGN) to connect and support students and early-career professionals in radiation protection and related fields across the Nordic region. The network will provide opportunities for knowledge exchange, networking and collaboration, while strengthening connections between the next generation and the wider radiation protection community.

The NSFS YGN welcomes all eligible students and professionals who are interested in joining. Membership is open to those under 35 or within the first 10 years of their career in radiation protection or related fields.

The founding meeting will take place virtually on Teams on 4 September 2026, 11:00–12:30 UTC.
