NKS-B YoungRad seminar – extended deadline for registration and submitting abstracts

(originally announced in NKS NewsFlash  4 August 18, 2006)

It is still possible to sign up for the seminar! If you wish to participate but not give a presentation, please fill out an abstract form but leave the title and abstract fields empty. It is also still possible for students to be sponsored.

Deadline: 20 November 2006 (Latest!!)

The initiative to the YoungRad seminar was taken by young Nordic students and scientists. The aim of the seminar is to create a dynamic forum for students and young scientists in the fields of radiophysics, radiochemistry, radioecology, radiation protection and related areas. The seminar is funded by the NKS (Nordic Nuclear Safety Research, www.nks.org).

The seminar will take place in Helsinki 14-15 December 2006.

NKS-B: Results of call for proposals for work to be supported in 2007

11 proposals for NKS-B activities were received before the deadline. The list of submitted proposals, with links to summaries of each activity, can be found on the NKS-B unofficial web site:

The NKS Board will decide the distribution of funding at its meeting on November 10^th.
