NKS NewsFlash 1

This is
the first electronic newsflash from NKS. Such newsflashes will be published
whenever the NKS homepage www.nks.org has been significantly updated with new
reports, information on upcoming seminars and similar events of interest to
those engaged in NKS activities. The newsflashes are short, normally without
attachments of any kind, and the object is to give links to the NKS homepage
where additional information can be found. The material referred to can be
downloaded free of charge by the reader.
Just like the newsletters, newsflashes are sent to everyone on the NKS address list, including everyone who has requested information on current NKS events and reports. Anyone not already on this list can be added free of charge by contacting nks@nks.org.

The owners of NKS have appointed
Nici Bergroth of Fortum Nuclear Services Ltd new program manager of NKS-R, as
the former program manager, Petra Lundström, moves on to new tasks within
Fortum. We congratulate Petra on her promotion and wish Nici welcome to the NKS
family.
A Call for Proposals for new reactor
safety oriented activities in 2006 (NKS-R) was distributed on Aug. 18, 2005
– read more about the details here.
The Call for Proposals for new emergency
preparedness focused activities in 2006 (NKS-B) starts on Aug. 29, 2005 – more
information can be found here.
A number of new NKS Seminars are presented here. Check the list of seminars regularly for upcoming events!
